To say that our previous experience with selling a home was a nightmare wouldn't even begin to cover it. That being said I went into this process with the attitude that Realtors look out for themselves and are pretty much a necessary evil if you want to sell your home effectively. Jim & I don't feel this way anymore. We were unbelievably fortunate to have found two Realtor that are exceptional.
We started out with Erica. From the first time I spoke with her I felt comfortable and confident with her her knowledge and presentation. Basically, I could tell she knew her stuff. Communication is the key with me and she never let me down. E-mails and phone calls were returned quickly. The part that really blows me away is when she delivered her little girl, Chloe, quite early in the morning and then called me to let me know she'd delivered earlier than expected and that Don Stafford would be taking over for her. Can you believe that? She actually called me from the hospital! Talk about dedicated.
Then there's Don. I don't even know where to start. I don't think I would have made it through this process without his expertise and guidance. When things got rough and didn't happen on my time frame (yes, I admit it) he'd be there and walk me through to let me know that it's just a bump in the road and we'd get over it. I know he had to work hard to make it happen, but would never come out an admit it. He's a true professional in every sense of the word. He kept me on an even keel and that's a full time job in itself. I also know that Realtor of The Year is based on revenue generated, but as far as Jim & I are concerned Don is our "Realtor of the Year" based upon service, integrity and caring that goes above and beyond our expectations.
One other thing that I'd like to mention is that at no time during the home selling process were we ever made to feel that it was all about commission. Never, ever. That was a big difference between what we'd experienced before. During this process it was all about us....and if it wasn't we'd have never know it. You have no idea the impression that's made on Jim & I. Put the client first. Well, imagine that concept!
